Arcanists 2 Wiki

The Book of Nature contains a mixture of spells convenient for trapping opponents and minions. While it can be useful in creating terrain, the primary function is more suited to a patient player, enabling them to lay traps which hinder the enemy or otherwise minimise the damage they can do as you prepare. Also contains a few "1 hit KO" attacks like Flurry and Vine Bloom.

Thorn Ball 1 Ball Infinite 0/1 50 Places a thorn mine at the point of impact. If it hits a player or minion, it explodes and deals damage. If it misses, it stays on the terrain until the mine is hit with an attack.
Thorn Bomb 2 Bomb 4 3/1 1000 Explodes and plants a circle of thorn mines around the explosion area.
Vine Whip 1 Bolt Infinite 0/1 35 Fires three short bursts in front of the player, then one large blast with medium-high knock-back, useful for tossing a target or digging through terrain.
Vine Bridge 2 Bolt 4 0/1 0 Shoots out a vine which latches onto the first piece of land it touches, creating a traversable bridge. This can also be used to trap opponents. Does not end turn, but can only be used once per turn.
Entangle 1 Ball Infinite 0/1 0 If it hits a player or minion, the unit cannot jump or fly, including flight attained through Shining Power. If the unit is trying to jump, the unit will be pulled to the ground. Additionally, it prevents the use of arcane gate. It will be removed the next time that player takes damage, when the player is affected by or casts Sanctuary, or if they fall into water.
Vine Bomb 2 Bomb 4 0/1 30 Shoots a flurry of flowers out from its detonation point, enclosing the area and anything in it.
Summon Man-Trap 1 Minion Infinite 3/5 N/A Summons a Man-Trap.
Sanctuary 2 Tower Infinite 0/5 75hp Encases the player in a flower surrounded by an aura that dispels all other auras, glyphs, shields, flight spells and thorn mines present within it (including liches and angels, though only temporarily).
Summon Elves 1 Minion Infinite 0/5 N/A Summons a pair of Elves.
Flurry 2 Targeted Infinite 3/5 60 per Elf (260 with a level 5 fungus familiar) Can only be cast by an Elf. Causes all Elves on the map to fire a stream of arrows towards the selected target point. The number of arrows fired is increased per each charge of the Nature Familiar.
Nature's Wrath 3 Targeted Infinite 5/5 25 per thorn mine Creates a whirlwind of leaves at the selected point which extends towards the sky blocking players from jumping or flying through it. It also greatly deflects projectiles passing through it. If the projectile is fired at a high speed, and it is able to get through the Nature's Wrath, it will be flung with higher speed and power than it was when it first reached the Nature's Wrath. Also detonates any thorn balls present when cast.
Vine Bloom 3 Personal 2 5/5 5000 Can only be cast by a man-trap. Causes the Man-Trap to self-destruct after one turn, releasing several vine and thorn bombs.


Familiar[]

The Book of Nature's familiar is the Fungus. It increases the size of Thorn and Vine Bombs and also increases the amount of arrows fired by Elves. For every level of the familiar, Vine Bridge's maximum distance increases.

Familiar specific changes:

  • Level 5: Learn the spell Forestation.

Infinite 0/1 20 per Elf per turn Sets up a target at a selected location. Every turn, all Elves on the map will shoot at the target.
Flurry
Infinite 3/5 60 per Elf (260 with a level 5 Fungus familiar) Causes all Elves on the map to fire a stream of arrows towards the selected target point. The number of arrows fired is increased if the nature familiar has been summoned. Note: Each arrow does 20 damage. Each Elf fires 3 arrows plus 2 per level of the familiar.
