The Gauntlet is a third-party tournament hosted by Kalaise. It is a 16-player invitational tournament where players compete for a grand prize of $100.

Format

  • Invitational Tournament.
  • 16 players.
• Group Stage
  • Round Robin Group Stage.
  • 4 players per group.
  • Top 2 players from each group advance to the knockout stage.
  • All matches are BO3.
• Knockout Stage
  • Double Elimination Knockout Stage.
  • All games except for Winner's Semi-Finals and Grand Finals are BO3.
  • Winner's Semi-Finals and Grand Finals are BO5.
  • Finalist from Loser's Bracket requires two series wins to win Grand Finals.

Settings

Individual Tournament (1v1)

• Default settings:
  • 30 seconds
  • For the first game in a series, both players will strike/ban 1 map each until there is one Map left (OG maps only). Then, once a map is decided on both players will book for the chosen map.
  • The loser of a single match within a 2/3 or 3/5 will be able to counter pick to any map.
  • No spell or book bans.
• Tiebreaker settings:
  • 30 seconds
  • Map: Giants' Mountains
  • Note: Tiebreaker rules were originally to replay the same map in case of a draw, but were changed early in the group stage.
